It has been a bit of a mission, but we finally have our half-year report in print. Copies are being mailed tomorrow (Friday 21 April) to our partner organisations and other external stakeholders. Carol will be sending copies to all coordinators for your Steering Committees and other local stakeholders. If you need more copies, contact Carol. The winning cover photo was a Westport family – Denise Henley has already delivered an acknowledgement to the family before leaving on her 6-week holiday.
Now it is only two and bit months before I’ll be chasing again for copy and photos for our annual report. So how about starting now to make sure you have one or two photos in the repository that sum up your year! Please load hi-res photos with captions to the CIH Annual Report 2017 directory. PLEASE DO NOT LOAD THEM INTO YOUR OWN FOLDER AS THIS MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR VERONICA TO FIND THEM!!
Coordinators will recall Sylvia’s presentation on Toggl at our Nelson hui. I have been meaning to post the outcome from the discussion following her presentation about a sensible set of ‘project’ categories for you to use to monitor your lives and find out where all the time goes. It would also be really useful feedback for us when we try and scale the coordinator and delivery partner roles and develop new support roles. So if anyone has joined the Toggl world, please feel free to share your reports with us. I am not so interested in week-by-week reports as I know your workloads fluctuate wildly, but what would be good is a three or six month report.
The categories agreed were:

- Media and Community Liaison

The 2020 Trust is supporting a Netsafe project to recognise 9 February as Safer Internet Day. This is a global initiative that runs each year. Sue Kini is alerting all our Stepping UP partner libraries and encouraging them to offer Internet Safety classes on Tuesday 9 February. The Association of Public Library Managers (Public Libraries NZ) is encouraging all their member libraries to do the same. We are providing the Internet safety Stepping Up module to any library that wants to take part. If anyone has any other ideas, please feel free to share.
